1985–Present :: Galisteo Street
The Serets' passion for building with architectural elements from the east, led to a new shop location in 1985. An empty lot became a two story Alhambra style gallery—one of the oldest looking new buildings in Santa Fe. In the years to follow adjacent properties were added to the Seret and Sons square footage until Galisteo Street became their main location. The Seret & Sons compound of buildings and outdoor areas fill most of the block at the corner of Galisteo and West Alameda.
Today, Seret & Sons gallery of over 70,000 square feet houses a unique collection of ancient Tibetan furniture, custom furniture, and an extensive collection of all varieties of rugs - gabbehs, dhurries, kazzaks, kilims - from around the world as well as exquisite hand-made suzanis. Columns, doors, and wrought iron work both old and new mingle in a labyrint of inspiration behind the main store building. This expansive outdoor yard is one of the only such locations in downtown Santa Fe.
